Justrite Foot Operated Oily Waste Cans - 23 to 80 Litre Capacity
Justrite Oily Waste Cans minimize the risk of a major fire hazard - spontaneous combustion of rags and cloths soaked with solvents, thinners, linseed oil, combustible adhesives and other flammable liquids.
Essential wherever solvent soaked rags and wipes are used, OSHA compliant Oily Waste Cans reduce the risk of fires caused by spontaneous combustion. A sleek steel design with sturdy foot pedal offers effortless, hands-free opening. A unique raised, flow-through base with air ports circulates air and disperses heat.
The self-closing cover opens to no more than 60 degrees per FM requirements, and gravity closes to reduce oxygen and prevent fire. The one-piece cover facilitates use of disposal collection bags and features a large, swinging carry handle for portability.
A new SoundGard™ lid option incorporates a specially designed, sound muffling pad to significantly reduce lid closure noise while maintaining FM and UL listings. SoundGard™ is ideal for any setting where it’s desirable to minimize disruptive or annoying noise and provide a more comfortable working environment.

Waste Oil Can to Promote Site Safety
A quality waste oil can offers high levels of site protection from oily waste such as cloths, cleaning rags and wipes. It allows this type of combustible waste to be stored safely in a location where the oxygen supply is cut off and no ignition is possible.
Any locations where oily waste is produced will benefit from the use of a waste oil can that both meets fire safety requirements and limits the potential for chemical combustions. So, garages are prime locations where oily waste is created on a daily basis, and secure storage until disposal takes place is crucial.
Equally, a workshop is a volatile environment and a stray spark near an oily rag could trigger a severe incident. The best way to prevent such incidents is to secure potentially flammable waste items in an oil waste can.
Where Can I Dispose of Waste Oil?
In the first instance, waste oil on a site must be stored correctly using a waste oil can. Four different capacity options are available ranging from 23 litres up to 80 litres, ensuring there is a suitable solution for every size of site.
The foot-operated nature of this oil waste can makes for simple operation and ensures operatives do not have to touch the lid as they go about their daily work. Although the lid works via the foot pedal, it also does not have to be manually lowered, with gravity closing the lid and ensuring the combustible waste inside is kept safe. Along with this, the raised base with air ports allows air to circulate around the can and disperse any heat, further improving site safety.
Why Choose the Justrite Waste Oil Can
The Justrite range of oily waste cans is designed with site safety and functionality in mind. Not only does it have a straightforward foot-operated mechanism, it comes with a swinging carry handle for portability, allowing operatives to move the can from one place to another without getting too close to the body of the can.
The waste oil can also has full safety labelling attached, ensuring all staff and visitors understand the potential hazard and work to keep it safe. Leak-tight and fire tested, the Justrite waste oil can range is crucial for businesses in numerous industries.
